HELP

I need to lose three stone to reduce my BMI in order to be accepted for platic surgery to reconstruct my breasts whilst having a double mastectomy (rather than having surgery at a later date). Also The reconstruction I would prefer TRAM reconstruction, as it would mean no implants and therefore, no ongoing upkeep.

I am a mum to two small boys 1 three on Sunday and 1 20 months old. I snack on all the wrong things and eat their left overs.

I have a major sweet tooth and tend to also eat with DH when he gets in from work.

Help me with an achievable plan, ideally meals that we can all eat (time is precious) and also an activity plan that I can do on an evening after 7.30 Please

Hi TMH

As you know I've lost almost 3 stone over the past 8months - slow and steady in the hope of keeping it off.

I have taken care to change my eating habits to something I feel I will now maintain..
~I eat with the kids rather than picking at thier food and then also eating with dh. I sit and have a cuppa with dh while he eats later or save my pudding to eat with him.
~if I'm hungry during the day I drink a glass of water before reaching for a snack - and usually find I was thirsty rather than hungry.
~I have tried not to feel deprived of my favourite foods. I will have crisps if I fancy them. As time as gone on I fancy the "bad" snacks less anyway.
~I have loads of fruit in the house to munch - fruit is yummy and sweet and deals with sugar cravings
~I walk, fast. I make myself late for school pick-up so have to walk fast!

Ds has woken up and needs a cuddle - I'll be back later x

how long do you have in which to lose the weight?
stop snacking. do not buy any snacky things , not even for the children.
eat proper meals
never eat the kids leftovers
avoid like the plague, anything sweet, anything fried. anything with lots of processed flour, like croissants and pastry etc.

if youcan afford it, join a gym with nice changing rooms etc. go there at least three evening s a week. do whatever workout they suggest. then have a swim and steam. a shower, which includes things like a facemask etc. come home and straight to bed.

Hello

My top tip would be menu planning. Shop to your list, and don't buy snacks so the tempation isn't there.

I'm not aiming to lose weight, but since I stated menu planning and eating with the children, all our meals are more healthy.

I walk for exercise suring the day.
I rarely drive, and when the dds were that age I used a buggy board for longer walks. Pushing that weight of children around must help!
