What to eat in the restaurant

Going for some lunch with DH, in my area it's very very difficult to find a menu that shows calories, I don't want to not go over calories.

I have 1,242 calories left for today & I would be happy enough to use them in the one meal as I usually be full for the rest of the day anyways.

Looking at the below options, what do you think would have the lowest calories?

Chicken escalope with gravy & seasonal vegetables

Chicken caesar salad - contains (baby gem, bacon bits, sun dried tomato, Parmesan, caesar dressing)

& do you think my calories left for today would get me one of these?

The salad without the dressing?

Presumably the escalope is breaded and fried

I'd have the salad with dressing on the side as they can be drenched with it. That should leave you enough calories to eat again later. Not eating from lunch today till breakfast tomorrow is not good.

Caesar salads have more calories than you’d think. Although you could order it with no dressing
no croutons and have the Parmesan and bacon bits on the side, only use a little of each and have a balsamic vinegar dressing on it instead. It’s more of a chicken salad but a much lighter option. You’ll then have some allowance for something light later on. It’s important that you don’t get too hungry otherwise you’ll end up eating more than you normally would.
Avoid the escalope, they’re usually breaded and fried.

How often do you eat out? I've lost nearly 5 stone cc and I always eat whatever I want when eating out as it's a rarity. Eating out should be a joy. A salad with no dressing because it's all that would fit your calories is depressing.
