Hello all,

I am only 5ft tall. Now, last year in August 2022, I was happy with my weight of 54kg. I then gained weight after marriage, to 61kg in just 6 weeks by the end of September!!! Then I fell pregnant at the end of Oct, and in January 2023, I shot up to 72kg! During pregnancy, I overate in the first two trimesters, and didn’t exercise, and by the end of my pregnancy, I weighed 86kg. I did have a lot of swelling too.

I gave birth in July 2023, and 3 months later, I now weigh 72kg again. I am happy with this, and aiming to go back down to 54kg.

Any advice as to how long this will take, and how to go about it??? Anyone else with similar experiences??

Thank you!

The most important thing is to find a way of eating that you can maintain long term. Some people like me find that keto works for them especially as it controls hunger but some find it too restrictive.

If you are new to dieting I would suggest starting simple bu cutting out booze and snacks and focus on eating 3 balanced meals per day, plenty of veg but don't restrict anything.

Alternatively 5.2 diet is very sustainable.
