Yes I know I shouldn't be eating after dinner in the evening....trying to cut back on eating between meals as I psych myself up to starting yet another weight loss plan..... the hardest snack for me to drop in the 10pm cuppa and biscuits. Anyone have suggestions for low cal snack before bed to prevent 3am munchies (I'm a poor sleeper and I HATE being hungry during the night!! I do know it takes me two or three weeks to feel less hungry

Honestly, if you eat enough protein for dinner, you won't need a snack at all. If you want biscuits in the eve, it's either habit, or because youve eaten sugar or white carbs for dinner that have made your blood sugar go up to high and then down to low.
If you wake up at 3am to eat, you've either radically under eaten in the day, or are close to pre diabetic. Eat lprotein and lots of vegetables, and it will help.

I am not paleo, or even a low carb person. I just know if I eat enough protoen, avoid sugar and avoid white carbs, I'm not hungry,

Unless you drink beer or wine- they have the same effect- you spike then crash, and you're starving- and also dehydrated- which makes you eat like a machine!

Are you eating dinner too early, or not having enough protein and fibre? I think that will be a better way to fix it and also wonder if it’s eating sugar before bed that is then waking you up (in search of the next sugar high), because it’s really quite unusual to be hungry at 3am.
