Fast 800 when active

I’m thinking about doing the Fast 800 again but was wondering if anyone had tried it when doing quite a bit of exercise? Does anyone know if the 800 calorie suggestion is about a low calorie intake in itself or is it more about a deficit of around 1000 calories per day?

I do realise exercise calories are often over estimated and the body often adapts to burning fewer than estimated but I’m wondering if anyone has had success with an adapted form if say they fairly regularly burnt around 800+ calories though exercise?

Yes, I've done keto, Fast 800 with loads of exercise (and lost 5 stone). I train quite happily whilst fasting. I assume that's because my body has access to plentiful numbers of calories, currently laid down as fat!

@Cleethorpes - thank you that’s really positive. I wonder if your body has become better at using fat for fuel. I’m finding on a calorie deficit that shorter intense sessions (such as an 8k run) are ok or longer less intense things like walking are ok. I’ve really struggled when I go over 10k or if the run is hilly. Maybe it’s a process of slowly enabling the body to use fat at higher intensities.
