Wegovy Journey

Hi all,

I took my first Wegovy injection (0.25) a week ago and my 2nd today.

What I noticed was, that after about 5 days of my appetite being completely suppressed, I then started to feel hungry at the weekend.

Does anyone know if its OK to take the next injection at 5 days rather than 7 so I don't undo the good work? It's not that I completely pigged out at the weekend but last week I had to actually make myself eat. I didn't think of food for the first time in years. Apart from a slight nauseous feeling for about 15 minutes after the injection I had no other side effects. The lack of appetite has helped massively with the weight loss. I already exercise daily but the menopause and changes in my hormones has had such an impact on my weight, its so annoying!

Just wondered what others thought.

4 kg in month one which waz over Christmas. I wouldnt buy anything online . Go to private GP or if you are actually obese at a certain level you get it on NHS. Boots will stock very soon

Great reply. Thanks for the info.
My GP ( not my regular NHS one; a private one) offered me to jump a step as he had it in stock but he said side effects would be worse. I am happy to titrate slowly up as I hope it will train my brain, appetite and new found full/ not full button!
I lost 4kg in month one and hope to lose same month two. I think in months 3 and 4 it might speed up a little if i eat more healthily.

Good for you. I would be delighted to follow your journey with you if you went ahead and got started.
Our weights are roughly the same. And the yo yoing is so bad I get it. I was 56kg at 16yrs. Then at 23 yrs probs 9stone. After 1 to 4 kids i hovered around 11 to 13 stone
I started Wegovy at 16.5 stone double what I was 40 years ago to my utter shame. But onwarda and upwards!
Let me know how it is going and any side effects!

Private GP for sole purpose of getting this. Felt embarrassed to ask my regular GP. They had already told me I didnt meet the threshold for getting the good drugs. As on my BMI wasnt quite high enough.

If you go through your private gp - do you pay for the wegovy or just the the gp appointment?
I am thinking of getting this and have private healthcare but unsure if I still have to pay for wegovy through a private gp?

Yes, it’s around £170 a month for the lower 3 doses then it increases with the higher two.
