Sickness and motivation

I've been losing weight slowly but consistently for a couple of months. Over that time my stomach definitely shrunk as completely cut out all snacks and had smaller meals. I was feeling really on top of my weight loss.

Have had a horrible virus now for a week (probably covid) and all my motivation has gone out of the window. I haven't gorged or anything, but I've found myself so much hungrier than usual and not really fancying the healthiest foods as I'm sick.

Just gets me so fed up. Feels like there's always a hurdle to contend with. I want to get back to it as soon as I'm better but worried my hunger will have elevated again. Haven't got on the scales in over a week now too. I've got about 3 stone to lose 🙁

Just wanted to have a moan really, and see if anyone else struggles too when ill?

The trick is not to worry about it while you are sick or at certain social meals e.g Christmas. You have to get back on track afterwards, but that is okay.

If it is going to take you say 18 months to lose the weight having the odd week when you are sick and not being so good is fine, provided you go straight back on it again.

You wouldn't break a whole box of eggs just because you broke one so don't give up!

There's ALWAYS something, birthdays, Christmas, meals out, illnesses, you just have to work your way round them and get back on plan asap.
