Insights into being 60kg (about 9 1/2 st)

I'm 5ft 4" and my target weight is 60kg, picked because it was slap bang in the middle of the healthy zone for my sex age and height.

Can I ask if you are (or were) 60kg

  1. What dress size do you wear?
  2. Do high heels still hurt your feet?

Thanks

Oh, I'm also a size 8.

This makes for odd reading. I weigh just under, 59kg, I'm 5'7 and mostly wear size 12. I must have large bones!

Thanks @marymungoNminge

I know what you mean @MarsandMercury part of why I asked was although I knew there would be a range, it was pretty hard to figure out what sort of range would be likely.

more muscle => more compact at the same weight
generally => the taller you are the smaller dress size for the same weight
different sizes top and bottom is quite common.
can vary by a dress size from one shop to another but usually this plus or minus 1 size.

I'm quite interested in this thread too tbh! Before I got pregnant I weighed 8st ish and had a 24/25 inch waist. Am short at 5ft 1".

I now weigh 9 1/2 stone and when I pull the tape measure tight I still have a 25" waist, but a better fit is 26" and I wear a UK size 8 but could probably squash myself into a size 6 if I really tried.

I've heard other people at my weight talk about being bigger though, eg size 12+, so I can't understand why I'm the same weight as them. I don't exercise either, so no muscle - all very bizarre.

Thought it was maybe a post partum thing... who knows.

I expect you have a small frame MsCactus, I do. So I’m a size 8 even with a layer of squidge, I’d be an easy size 6 if I had no excess weight. Whereas some people, especially taller people are just built bigger and would never fit into a size 6 even if skeletal as their hip bones and ribcage would be too wide.
