Meal replacement shakes

May I ask if anyone has had success using meal replacement shakes only ... for a period of time ?

I'm someone who would be motivated by seeing a kick start so was considering using shakes and IF for maybe a 2 -4 week period to see a bit of success then reintroduce normal foods a meal at a time .

So having first shake at 1200 then last at 1900 , maybe 1200 cals a day ?

Of course , this would be quite boring , difficult to eat out etc and if I don't make changes would be a waste of time

However if I can just get below the next stone on the scales , feel slightly better about all the previous fails 😩 I would like to give to a go , makes food shopping easier .. milk and shakes

Is this a terrible idea or has anyone else done the same ?
Thanks all 👋🏻

I use huel black; and for me I really like the fact that it's complete nutrition so it feels like a good and healthy way to take in calories.

1 scoop is 200Kcal

I'm doing IF with the first shake at 12 noon and a second shake at around 4pm and then a calorie counted meal in the evening around 7pm . I've been losing an average of 1.4kg a week over the past 13 weeks.

It doesn't agree with everyone but works well for me. I'm doing 1200kcal a day. with around 600 as my main meal.

If I need to drop to 800 kcal as I lose weight I'd probably switch to 4 x 1 scoop shakes.

There are lots of flavors, chocolate, banana, mocha are the ones I've tried and enjoyed so far. I prefer the pre flavoured mix as opposed to the ones where the flavour is separate.

That's so helpful , thank you and well done on your loss

I'll have a look at the Huel stuff now

Is there a " recommend a friend " code ? Would be good to give you a discount if so ?

thanks for the thought but I couldn't see a way of getting it - so not to worry.

They do bars too, I haven't tried them yet but I've just ordered some for myself so I'll let you know what I think of them if you're interested.

Good luck.

arh I had an email come through but didn't spot it, if you haven't ordered but do decide to you can enter "Faith Donkin" at the checkout and you'll receive £10 off when they spend £46 or more. (and I get a £10 off voucher too I think)

I tried the peanut butter huel bar today, it is interesting it's a bit like a less sweet snickers bar without the soft layer on top. Not my favourite but quite filling.
