Done something stupid

I love Autumn clothes. This time last year I bought a few nice blouses and dresses, for when the weather gets a bit colder.

Here is where I have been stupid- most of these clothes were just a little bit tight. I figured if I lost half a stone (which I want to anyway) then they will fit perfectly.

And here we are a year later and I weigh exactly the same as I did when I bought the clothes.

Do I take this as motivation to actually lose half a stone? Or should I admit defeat and size up?

I should add I did actually try to lose weight, with calorie counting and 16:8.

In late spring I was 5lbs lighter, but now it has gone back on 😢

I’d use it as motivation, but that’s me. Do you want to size up?

Shouldbedoing · 14/09/2023 07:54

You can do this! Lots of vegetable soups!

Ohh I have so many clothes in my "when I lose half a stone" pile. But in my case I lost over a stone and they still didn't fit! I didn't even drop a dress size when I lost 18 lb.

I got rid of all the clothes 2 sizes too small but I just can't bring myself to get rid of the ones 1 size too small. What if this year is the year I finally get skinny??

Talkiewalki · 14/09/2023 08:12

I really don’t want to size up. Most of the clothes do fit me, but would fit better if I lost half a stone (or the clothes were a size bigger).

I also just remembered there is a really nice pair of jeans in the wardrobe that are a little bit too tight to be comfortable.

I can’t justify buying more clothes. Soup it is 😩

No, not just soup, a sensible range of foods that is sustainable....

You weigh the same now as you did this time last year?

Personally I'd take that as a win Grin

I had a pile of clothes that were a little too small after I lost 3 stone. I kept them as figured they would fit after another half a stone loss. I got annoyed with myself as could feel the weight creeping up not down and the clothes were still out of reach so I used them as motivation. I’ve now gone on to lose another 2 stone (5 stone total) and they’re now too big 🤦‍♀️
