What does your average day of eating look like?

I need to lose weight. It’s too easy for me to overeat and I’ve just got bigger and bigger.

When I usually start cutting back, I go to extremes (2 shakes and chicken and some veg), I know it’s not sustainable and it makes me miserable, so, what do you eat in a day?

I eat porridge and banana or scrambled egg on 1 slice of toast

3 crispbread with tinned fish and a satsuma or a waitrose salad Nicole's

Stir fried chicken and veg with lots of soy sauce plus half a bag of cauliflower rice fried and stirred in - top with seasame seeds and some crispy fried onions (from a tub)

I only eat between 10.30/11 and 6.30/7, i.e. intermittent fasting, and I try to avoid sugar and refined carbs.

Usually have a 2 egg omelette with spinach, mushrooms or leftover vegetables for brunch, or a mixed salad with 2 boiled eggs or some leftover salmon or chicken.
Dinner is LOTS of vegetables, salad and chicken or salmon or fish or prawns. Followed by some berries for dessert. Or the occasional icecream...
In between I have some fruit or nuts, and/or a boiled egg.
I try not to drink calories, i.e. limit alcohol.

I also exercise for around 50 minutes to an hour most days, including weight training.

I have been doing this for over 4 years and found it surprisingly easy. I was never significantly overweight but lost around 15 lb very easily and have kept it off. Feeling better mentally as well, and much more energetic.

I am in the process of losing weight and have one stone to go so will continue with this until the stone is gone. I’ve been eating similar to this for nearly 2 months and have lost a stone and a half. I cut down on the carbs gradually in the first week.

A smoothie made with yogurt/Kefir and a four types of fruit.

A genuinely massive salad with protein such as tuna, chicken, ham with a bit of cheese or eggs and the least dressing I can get away with.

Some sort of protein such as a chicken or fish with half a plate of about four or more types of veg.

Snacks, a few nuts and a low calorie hot chocolate.

Drinks, herbal teas and water (I try and save my calories for food).

I've lost over 2 stone and eat:
Breakfast: Porridge with chia seeds and golden syrup
Lunch: Fage 0% Greek yogurt with homemade fruit compote (no added sugar), honey and more chia seeds or chia pudding with a big dollop of the yogurt
Dinner: homemade pizza, pasta, soup. Occasionally something processed like quorn sausages or burger with homemade chips.
Snacks: fruit, Tunnocks caramel wafer, homemade cookie/flapjack/cake. Sometimes crisps and sweets but I've recently cut those out from being daily to rarely.
Lots and lots of iced water. Max 2 cups tea a day.
