Morning ladies, happy Saturday! It’s another wet and miserable day here, when is this rain going to end???!!

I went out last night- I drank lime and soda all night, I did have one zero gin and tonic, nothing to write home about actually. It did taste like g&t but then I think just tonic tastes quite like g&t as well so 🤷‍♀️ cheap date! I did eat though, it was really lovely party food and I did have some, no syns were counted either or even guesstimated. A proper night off.

I have a glorious 3 day weekend now, my plan is to get all my jobs done today and tomorrow so on Monday I can just chill all day. I have a long list of little tasks round the house that I want to do, it’s been bugging me for ages so I’m going to tick a few of those off today. Plus a workout for my PT and A dog walk with ds. My parents are coming this afternoon and I’m going to cook some Sw curries and rice so that will be all on plan.

have a good weekend all

TalkToTheHand123 · 02/03/2024 21:50

At the very rare times I can't sleep I do relaxion breathing with gentle tummy tenses when on breathe out. Works a treat as you are having a gentle work out and don't feel like you are wasting time.

Theredjellybean · 03/03/2024 08:35

Morning all...I had a very wet Saturday 22km run...felt good afterwards.
I went to a party and had two small drinks and did eat some pizza but didn't go mad and declined any other alcohol so feel very virtuous today.
I'm really determined to get the drinking down to just the odd day here and there.
I did go out for lunch this week to a restaurant that has just been awarded a Michelin star .. however had the tasting menu and it was mind blowing good but tiny tiny portions...I'm sure it wasn't too bad !!!
Weigh in tomorrow...

Sedgwick · 04/03/2024 09:27

@Theredjellybean 22km run, wow that’s a long run! @thenewaveragebear1983 have a great day off.

Didn’t gain this weekend, delighted with that, attributing it to staying off the booze.

thenewaveragebear1983 · 04/03/2024 20:34

I’ve had a nice day off- much needed! I ran 13kms this morning in the cold sunshine, then I went into town and treated myself to some new clothes, something I never do! So I bought some jeans (size 10-woohoo!) and a black midi pencil denim skirt and 3 tops. It’s actually unusual for me to find, buy, and then actually keep things, but all these are nice and make me feel good in them so they are all staying. I just turned my back on the changing room mirrors until I was dressed!

my food has been ok, dinner was disappointing but it was all on plan. I’m due on my period on Thursday so I’m not holding out for a loss this week but interestingly I haven’t had any pmt type food cravings this month- normally I’d have a week of intense sugar craving about now. So that’s good.

Hope everyone’s ok 👍

Theredjellybean · 04/03/2024 22:22

I stayed the same again...I have no idea what's happening with my weight...sigh...
Anyway I can still achieve the 7/7 goal...it's going to be a good week... determined

thenewaveragebear1983 · 05/03/2024 18:54

Urgh I ate so so so much rubbish today!! Just pure sugar! I’m standing here at Ds’s football feeling really full and I haven’t even had my tea! It was just a grazing platter of cakes and chocolate at work today!

anyway- I’m not weighing in til Saturday this week as db is away Thursday night which is my normal weigh in day, so that gives me a few days to get back on track. I’m due on tomorrow which probably contributed a bit to my feasting. All I can do really is get back on it, drink lots of water, and try again tomorrow.

Theredjellybean · 05/03/2024 21:16

It's ok @thenewaveragebear1983
Feels rubbish now but back in track tomorrow...

Sedgwick · 06/03/2024 08:31

@thenewaveragebear1983 very likely it’s because your period is due, I used to be the same.

TalkToTheHand123 · 06/03/2024 14:25

Weighed this morning as thought I'd lost weight but doesn't seem like I have lost anything. I feel ready to reduce my food intake though (the thought usually stresses me and makes me binge).

Planning seems to definately be the key.

TalkToTheHand123 · 07/03/2024 16:20

Managed to avoid a chinese food offer at lunch. Reminded myself how bloated and sleepy I get after. Seems to have got me through.

Currently fasting a bit more as I'm working further away from the toilet for a few hours extra a day for a few days a week.

thenewaveragebear1983 · 07/03/2024 18:35

This week feels like it has gone on forever. I’m not weighing in tonight because dh is away so will go to a Saturday 8am group but I’m glad to be honest because I’m (still) due on and feel incredibly bloated, tired and grouchy.

I realised something today- in the week before my period, my body/brain plays such weird tricks on me. Considering I’ve mostly been on track, and yet I feel huge, I feel like I’ve eaten loads, I keep feeling like my eating is totally out of control when it really isn’t. My legs feel really heavy and I have no motivation to do anything. I guess I kind of always knew this but this week it’s been really apparent as if a hormonal switch had been flicked. I don’t really get pmt (as in tearful/rage etc but this is obviously the same thing). I need to remind myself that this is how I feel because by the time a month rolls by I have forgotten and then it takes me by surprise when I have a terrible week. Looking back through my diary, it wasn’t that awful- I did have a bad day Tuesday but other days were ok.

anyway. I had an ok day food wise. Uninspiring but on track. Shopping came today, I need to meal plan though (bad idea to order first, plan later) and prep some bits for the weekend like boiled eggs and soup.

Sedgwick · 09/03/2024 05:50

I’ve been sticking to Fast800, feel really well on this food. I have one stone to lose now, I expect weight loss to slow down but my tummy is still very fat. I’ve lost 1.25 lbs since Monday. The only area I am a bit woolly is my mock tails and lucky saint beers (AF). I need to work out how many calories I am drinking.

How is everyone doing? Good luck with weigh in @thenewaveragebear1983 .

Theredjellybean · 09/03/2024 07:06

This week has dragged. Despite being full of work travel.
I'm going to weigh today as well...
Good luck @thenewaveragebear1983 ...

endlesswashing · 09/03/2024 08:31

Morning everyone Lovely sunny day here,

Well done @Sedgwick

Just weighed in and I'm 2 and a half lbs down in 2 weeks. I'm really happy with that.

Been AF and ditched the treats although have did a few squares of chocolate on Thursday.

thenewaveragebear1983 · 09/03/2024 08:34

I gained 1.5lbs which was actually less than I’d predicted. My next weigh in is Thursday so I don’t have a full week so I’m going to polish my halo and be extra good this week. Starting with a delicious breakfast.

Theredjellybean · 09/03/2024 11:57

well @thenewaveragebear1983 i don't think that is fair ...i shall stamp my foot and put on your behalf
I have lost 1.1 lbs...which takes me to 6 lbs off in total now.
i am not sure what week next week is ??week 5 of 7 or 6 of 7 ???
I was trying to keep track on poorpaws behalf and have failed...the wagon is probably going round in circles now....

2 more off and i will be back at my lowest weight ....though today at work ( out of hours GP) i am feeling very p@@@sed off with life..had a banana and coffee and had to add 1 tsp of sugar as recognized i am hangry ....

Theredjellybean · 09/03/2024 11:57

@Sedgwick @endlesswashing well done both...you can hae a sticker and go to the front of the wagon ...

thenewaveragebear1983 · 09/03/2024 14:56

@Theredjellybean 🤔 I don’t know how many weeks either…. I’m tracking so many different challenges in my head! I’m on day 36 of a 70 day PT challenge, I’m on day 69 of dry “January”, and I’m good knows how many days into my sw mission.
we could work it out though…. It was to finish at Easter, and that’s 3 weeks tomorrow, so are we at the end of week 4 of 7?
anyway. I’m probably just about scraping 1lb a week average over the last 4 weeks and a further 3lbs in 3 is doable, so I’m going with that.

Hope you are ok @poorpaws and any others. It’s quiet in here at the moment. Hope everyone is ok.

Mother’s Day tomorrow, we have no real plans except dh cooking dinner and we’ll be going to football. I’m planning to head out for a long run. I keep looking out at the spring sunshine and thinking maybe I should go today but I do actually need a rest day and if I run today I won’t go as long tomorrow so I am going to hold off and hope the weather stays pleasant.

endlesswashing · 09/03/2024 21:15

Wow @thenewaveragebear1983 69 days is impressive, Well done! How long are you keeping up dry "January"?

thenewaveragebear1983 · 09/03/2024 21:25

@endlesswashing I really don’t know. I’ve never gone this long before except when pregnant. I don’t actually miss it or want one so I’m not planning to drink at the moment. It’s my MIL’s birthday next Saturday which might be the next opportunity to drink. However, I’m not going round til 8.30 as I’m looking after the puppy, so by the time I get ready to go I’ll probably think it’s easier to drive, then of course it is much easier to drive home than drink. I think to be honest I am enjoying the benefits of not drinking (eg not feeling crap the next day, not eating loads of rubbish, driving home and not having to collect my car etc) more than I would enjoy the drink.

endlesswashing · 09/03/2024 21:30

@thenewaveragebear1983 such a sensible approach. I'm planning on keeping going until the end of march then reassess.

Nicetobenice67 · 10/03/2024 08:17

maybe try and not call it a diet call it a new way of eating I find it’s easier new way of eating for life ….if I get hungry I drink water if I crave I get busy

TalkToTheHand123 · 10/03/2024 10:14

Hangover free here for over a week now. I think I've been eating more though. Have a thing for mince at the moment. Going to try not to buy next time when shopping.

I'm wasting a bit of fruit more from the fridge. These no use by dates don't help.

Thinking of doing a soup meals only diet for a month with the odd snacks as not losing any weight.

As usual routine not great so will keep trying with this.

poorpaws · 10/03/2024 10:43

Hi everyone

I'm sorry! and I've missed you all.

Immediately after my last post, which seems ages ago, I felt unwell again. This has really been the year from hell for me so far but I'm not going to dwell.

Tomorrow I'll get on those scales and be back! I'm pledging to you all that even if I'm not well I will post here because I dont want to turn you all away.

Maybe I'll maintain, maybe I won't, but I'm on those scales in the morning and I'll report back.

Thank you all for keeping this thread going whilst I've been AWOL. I have to get my act together. I am very much a sunshine lover and it's coming to "my" time so I'm sure I'll improve.

Off to catch up and I'll see you all tomorrow.
