Can't loose the last bit of baby weight and it's getting me down!

Any tips on loosing weight with young children? I eat relatively healthily but I just can't seem to budge the last bit of baby podge! I had a bad birth and 14 months on I still feel at the tail end of those injuries so exercising hasn't been an option and I don't feel walking is doing anything for me. My women's health physio has advised me not to do pilates until we've sorted other issues. Like I said I do eat eat relatively healthily but DH has the biggest sweet tooth in the world so after the kids have gone to bed he snacks on biscuits and chocolate. The most I would have is maybe 4 squares of Lindt chocolate but that's it and it's not every day. I try to snack on healthy things during the day like handfuls of Spinach, baby tomatoes and rice cakes with Peanut butter. I have muesli with dried fruit, nuts and seeds for breakfast every day, generally make a cooked lunch full of veg for the kids and then a small dinner (kids eat at nursery etc). Why am I not loosing weight?? It's getting me down.

Are you breastfeeding? I find that makes my appetite and weight stay up as if it’s the early days of newborns 😂 If that’s all the treats you’re eating fair play to you, I have a sweet tooth and would binge much more on carbs and sugar especially when I’m at home with our small kids. Could you try swimming? Had your physio any other suggestions for suitable exercise/activities?

Have you checked how many calories you’re having and how many you’re expending, a calorie deficit of 3500 gives 1lb of weight loss

4 squares of Lindt dark choc is 200 kcals (I know this cos I have 2 squares every afternoon 😂)

I was going to say the same thing - I clung on to the last bit of weight until I stopped breastfeeding, especially on my tummy.

Oh my goodness yes it's tummy weight! I'm still BF before bed, maybe that's why? I've never counted calories before or own a set of scales. Is there an app that could help? It's lindt milk chocolate so probably much worse than dark chocolate! I also occasionally have a cake maybe every 2nd week and burger/chips but its maybe every 2-3 weeks. I've always just gone by how I feel but I saw some recent photos of myself and it made me feel terrible!!!

If I'm honest that lower belly, it never goes.
8 years after my 3rd and I have been attending a biitcamo twice a week and was doing weightwatchers. I lost a lot and my chest was skinny, but that lower belly never left.

Thanks for your honesty. I knew my heart that my body won't go back and now I'm mid 30s I think it's even tougher (despite all this chat about metabolism not slowing until much later in life!)
