What happens when you reach your goal weight?

I’ve lost 4 and a half stone, so I’m nearing the end (around 1 and a half to go). I’m calorie counting on 1650 cals a day and exercising daily.
I’m starting to think about life ‘after’. I’ve lost weight before and put it on again when having my kids, this is the lowest I’ve been in 8 years.
When you reach your goal weight, do you still calorie count? Or do Mon-Fri and keep Sat/Sun free for whatever? I’m currently exercising daily and want to keep this up, so in order to not be in a calorie deficit, do you then eat the calories burnt? Do you lose extra weight before going on holiday (or do you calorie count on holiday)?
Interested in those who have lost weight and kept it off long term. Thank-you!

I reached goal weight and then increased my calories to maintenance calories after working out my TDEE. No I don’t eat calories burnt because it’s already calculated in my activity levels.

I do still log on MFP, and probably always will, it’s really quick and keeps me accountable. My weight hasn’t fluctuated more than a couple of pounds in the last 4 years. Obviously I don’t get my scales out on holiday but I can now gauge how much potato/ rice I’m eating and will maybe add extra oil on or something because I know they won’t use as little as I would. I keep to my usual healthier choices now but if I were to have cake then I would probably add extra to take into account the additional calories it’s likely to be, and then eat even healthier for a couple of days to compensate going over.
