Make your own version of pasta & sauce.

Cooked Pasta
Cheap tin of chopped tomatoes
Mixed herbs
Tin sweetcorn
Peppers
Mushrooms
Mix together and warm through.
You can always add a Healthy Extra's worth of ham, tuna or cheese as well.

Jacket potato & tin of spaghetti or beans (check some varieties are not free).

HTH

I have jackets for lunch with beans or cottage cheese.

Or a huge bowl of fruit salad .... except that's not that cheap, so ignore that.

What about making some soup and having it with ryvita?

To be honest, I find lunches the hardest thing to do on SW as I like to have something to eat on the go.

beans on toast (toast as healthy extra)
jacket potatoes with beans, or with cheese (HExtra)or with sweetcorn
poached eggs and/or mushrooms on toast
fry up with poached eggs, mushrooms, beans, tomatoes, and maybe a rasher of bacon as a HE or syns on a green day, or drop the beans and have lots of bacon on a red day
home made soups (then you know what's in them and can make them as free as poss)
ryvita and hoummous (HE's)
I have sandwiches quite a lot - fillings like cheese tomato and mustard, ham and cheese, tuna and a bit of mayo or lemon juice, bacon
blue dragon noodle soups are nice and quite a lot like the bachelors ones

actually if I'm at home I often just make what I would have for tea but smaller
