Help me not blow this...

I've been doing really well for about six weeks, lost just under a stone, got myself into a really healthy mindset....but today I found myself starving after getting over a migraine and have eaten way too much.

Please remind me that my goal isn't a boom and bust diet, it's a long-term lifestyle overhaul. That means sometimes things happen and sometimes I won't eat perfectly. This is part of normal life.

'New' me is repeating this to myself, 'old' me would use this as an excuse to have a blow out, which would spiral into days/weeks/months.

If you got sun burnt you wouldn’t think fuck it I might as well burn again tomorrow you would cover up and put lots of cream on! So just reset tomorrow - everyone needs a blow out - you’ve got this!

I am exactly the same and as soon as I know I’m having a cheat dinner it turns into a cheat day/ week / month - someone said the sunburn thing to me a few years ago and it really made me think

The mindset thing is the hardest part to overcome. It's almost like I want to sabotage myself and am looking for any reason.

I'm determined not to do that this time though.

I like to have an event, for example I'm flying to the US for Christmas. Even though I'm flying premium, it's a new plane snd the seats are only half an inch wider than economy (used to be three inches wider). The thought of an uncomfortable seven hour flight, the thought of being two stone heavier than the last time I visited four years ago (which was already two stone heavier than the time before) keeps me on the straight and narrow.
Also, time passes regardless. Do you want to be as you are now next summer? Or do you want to be a slimmer, fitter you?
