Weight Watchers - Can someone please tell me how many points you can have in a day?

I want to do this by myself at home, I'm not able to get to a meeting, nor do I want to do it online, but I have the points books etc however I need to know how many points I can have in a day. Is it dependent on weight and height? If so, i'm 5.2 and 9 st 8 oz. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

YOu don't sound like you have much to lose - I would love to be your weight! You have to have more than 10 lbs to lose and for your weight I would start on 20 pts per day, and then review it after a week - go down to 18 if nec. You can 'save' points up for the next day if you need to, or 'earn' up to 12 bonus points a week via exercise - eg 30 mins of fast walking = 2 points.

Thank you so much for responding and thanks for the invite Katy.

BitTiredNow - I know what you mean but its how I feel really. I am at the most i've ever been and in the last 6 months i've managed to steadily put on just around a stone in weight. I don't seem to be able to lose it although I have tried. I need to lose it to feel comfortable and happy again. Trivial to some, but not to me

yes i'm 19 points too. DH is 29 points per day. I'm really going to have to try this. My arse and stomach are spreading as we speak. Even my father said to me the other day (he doesn't mince his words) 'you're facing is changing shape love' - this was just after we'd talked about weight issues.

Posie, i'm off for an indian tomorrow night and a chicken jalfrezi itself is 19 points. Which means if I am to start tomorrow I must starve myself all day and when I get there I can only eat the jalfrezi and nothing else. Methinks I may have to start properly on Friday.

the wendie is a way of shuffling your points so you have a shd(superhighday) and a sld (superlowday) it is supposed to help as it confuses your metabolism and gives it a boost.sorry i made it sound rude
it's all on the site i linked to
