I started today and felt so ill I had to log off work and go to bed. It's taken 12 hours to feel better. I wasn't planning on taking anymore but your post has given me some hope that it will get better?

Slicknotslick · 02/08/2023 18:06

Yes!! medication on the way. I only got a month's pack so I'll trial it to see.

I reckon it won't be as powerful as Saxenda. Unsure if price has gone up just now Saxenda is out of reach.

How's it going both? 🙂

Mummypiepie · 03/08/2023 08:22

I am not going to take anymore until the weekend so that if I feel ill it won't affect my work. I did take on empty stomach so will try with food this time.

Tryharderdeanna · 03/08/2023 21:42

Yes, I am a bit frightened to take anymore I also work from home so think I am going to have to save until the weekend.

I also started a few days ago.
I accidentally took it without food & had a pretty upset tummy a few hours later. Since then I've been fine taking the tablets with food.
In fact the instructions say do take with food.

Mummypiepie · 05/08/2023 11:44

As daft as it sounds I feel anxious to take anymore and make myself that poorly. I'm going to do everything I need to do for the family and home today and then take it tomorrow when I can just relax if I feel bad again. I'm definitely going to take it with food! It has taken me the whole week to feel better.

Slicknotslick · 06/08/2023 22:46

@Mummypiepie Ah bless you.

I have to be honest I lasted one day on this, god I didn't know whether I wanted to be sick or lie in bed all day, not good, decided I did not want to carry on, nearly throwing up on the dieters' food friend that is baked beans (the no salt and sugar ones) was a new low and so have hid the tablets.

Good luck everyone else.

Mummypiepie · 07/08/2023 09:39

I made it through the day yesterday. I took it very easy and the symptoms started a couple of hours after taking the tablet but faded much more quickly this time. Today I am taking the dose despite working and so far just feel a little light headed. I need to get to the point I can take the tablet but still function, not spend all day lying down! I definitely won't be upping the dose any time soon. I miss exercise but definitely not ready to introduce that at the moment. Hope it gets better, will give it a week tops.

I'm absolutely fine now. I took two yesterday. I've been so hungry, due to jetlag, that I need to stop eating. I do think it's giving me some vivid dreams.
I'm still very much missing Ozempic as it worked perfectly for me. I'm currently eating so much more😔

Mummypiepie · 07/08/2023 16:19

I spoke too soon. I have had to give up mysimba. Today's symptoms were dizzy and dry mouth. However, it was to the extent of not being able to work so I can't carry on like this. I'm really disappointed not to mention the expense.

Cantonet · 08/08/2023 15:31

@Mummypiepie I'm sorry it's not worked out for you. I'm definitely getting the dry mouth, but fortunately no dizziness as of yet.
The two tablets are making me feel very full up. Plus, I'm trialing a high protein breakfast of Greek yogurt, berries & Zoe homemade granola to see if it's more effective & filling than eggs in the morning.

Mummypiepie · 08/08/2023 17:37

I've decided to try having my one tablet a day with my evening meal as a last resort. That way I have done my work and family duties and will hopefully be asleep through the worst of the symptoms. Just until the side effects wear off! Recently had the tablet so fingers crossed it won't affect my sleep my.

How's everyone getting on?

Any tips on how to make mysimba as effective as possible please?

whatever1980 · 02/09/2023 19:18

Hi

I've started on mysimba (was on Saxenda before the shortage) but feeling really hungry at night. Just on the 1 tablet at the moment - will this hunger go? It's like a craving hunger

Cantonet · 06/09/2023 10:47

I'm going to switch back to Ozempic.
I can't cope with the hot flushes & I'm still only on 2 tablets. I'm literally waking up at night soaked in sweat. Given that I'm also on Hrt it's not a good thing.
I have far more side effects on this Mysimba than Ozempic.

whatever1980 · 06/09/2023 18:01

I'm in day 5 and not feeling great. Feel like I've come down with a flu also ravenously hungry so but if a fail for me. Will keep on going as have paid now

AnneLarsen · 07/09/2023 16:30

It's made absolutely no difference to me, even on the maximum dose - I started a thread about it. If anything, I'm more hungry. Total waste of time and money.

whatever1980 · 07/09/2023 20:33

Same here at @AnneLarsen i only got it because couldn’t get Saxenda and I think I feel more hungry than usual and not very well either. I’m only on day 6 and don’t to now whether to persevere since spent money but actually feel I’m eating more on this
