Two lovely holidays planned for august and still couldn't motivate myself to lose a stone/stone and a half that I wanted to lose. I'm still the size 12/14 I was at Easter when I promised myself I didn't want to look or feel chubby like I do now. Completely failed! 8 days to go to my first holiday and just wanted to not look fat in the photos! Now I'm feeling miserable and anxious so Sat eating biscuits

There's a lovely lady who's started a body positivity thread after coming back from her holiday. Have you seen it?
There are some negative posters who have tried to derail it, but in the main it's really upbeat.
Basically, what she says, is to enjoy your holiday no matter where you are in your journey.

We wait all year for these precious days - don't let a stone spoil your well-earned holiday!

I’m not where I wanted to be but next week is another week….dont just give up cos you had a time sensitive target. Look at it long term

I just can't stop the monologue in my head. I know I need to be calorie counting but it's the comments in my head ...

You'll pass out if you don't eat enough
What if you don't get anything. To eat later and you can eat more now!?
What's the point in restricting yourself- hormones, menopause, genes won't allow you to lose the weight anyway

And the nervous feeling I get which makes me have the chocolate, biscuits, ice cream and sweets.
