Keto/Nausea

I’ve been doing keto and 16:8 fasting for 15 days now and I still feel like crap! I have constant nausea, an odd mixture of feeling full and absolutely starving! Switch between constipation and diarrhoea. I have lost 11lbs which is amazing but at the same time I’m just feeling rubbish.

Im currently having 1200 calories a day and keeping my carbs under 25g (averaging around 20g daily), 65g protein. Eating plenty of veg and drinking plenty too. Sleeping around 6-7 hours a night and have 1yo, 3yo and 7yo so busy busy busy!

How long will it take for me to get used to keto? Or will I never? Any advice welcome!

Sounds like you're overdoing it. 11 pounds in two weeks is too fast and you shouldn't be making yourself ill, either. You shouldn't keep up with something that's giving you constipation and diarrhoea, it's unhealthy. Maybe just go for the fasting with low carbing too.

Ah ok.. so you think too much too quick and going in too hardcore? That would probably make sense 😅 I wasn’t sure if it’s just something that happens when losing quickly or specifically on keto.

Do you think keto just isn’t for me then?

Your life sounds miserable. This isn’t sustainable.
Take with you the lesson that you are able to lose weight and adopt a less restrictive way of eating including some whole grains and other whole foods.
