Flying overweight with baby

This isn't really weight loss related as such but I'm hoping there may be some plus size mummy's who can help.
I am due to fly overseas for a funeral in a couple of weeks. I am so anxious about flying with my 9 month old baby alot of which is due to my size and embarrassment about my size.
I will be booking an extra seat for my baby so we can have a whole row (my partner is also big and I would feel so bad for anyone else having to sit next to us with a wriggly baby!).
Baby has to sit on lap for take off and landing. My biggest fear is that the belt- even extended- may not fit around me and baby as I'm not sure how much give there is!
I am a UK size 24/26 21stone to give you an idea of my size.
Have any other plus size mummies flown with baby and can reassure me?
Thanks

The belt doesn't go around the baby too, just you.

You get a different belt that attaches to your belt for the baby.

Ah I didn't realise this! Completely overthinking it then! Thanks this is helpful to put an anxious flyers mind at rest

And if you have your own row, no one else gives a tiny poop what size you are! It's only if you're sitting next to someone.

So sorry about the funeral.

The baby is not in the same seatbelt as you. They provide a loop thingy that attaches to your seatbelt.

So the only question is whether the seatbelt plus extender is adequate. I would ask the airline in advance.

In my experience each airline has different seatbelt lengths.
