I'm ready for this I'm starting tomorrow and I'm going to give the WW No Count plan a go, but if I don't get on with that I'll just do the points one which is now got a new name but the same as far as I can see. I'm going to join a class on Wednesday.

MarsLady · 01/01/2005 19:38

there's a free registration voucher on the ww website. you just have to print it off and give it in when you register.

ok thanks, there is another this wednesday, so could go to that, want to get started as soon as poss!

Distracted · 04/01/2005 11:53

Can I Join too? Haven't done this before, but after having ds in October I've got 1 1/2 to 2 stone to lose (1 1/2 would get me back in my clothes again and back to pre-pregnancy weight, but that was already overweight, so I should aim for 2 stone really I suppose, if not more).

I've been really bad over christmas, but weighed myself this morning and was so pleased to see that I haven't put on any more weight, so still only 2 stone to lose, just as it was before christmas. I suppose I'm so overweight that I actually have to eat quite a lot just to maintain this weight!! Sounds good doesn't it but having said that, I had cut right back for the month before christmas and hadn't lost anything

gothicmama · 04/01/2005 14:37

sounds good to me

Demented · 05/01/2005 09:54

Count me in Yorkiegirl. I have taken the plunge and joined Slimming World, I have put on about half a stone since the beginning of December (hardly surprising seen as I have been eating like a pig and the leisure centre where I exercise closed for a refit). I want to make a fresh start so will mail you with a new starting weight and take it from there!

All the best to everyone for the first few weeks!!!

LunarSea · 05/01/2005 11:54

Next week sounds good - hopefully I will have got rid of the cold I have now which is rather hampering efforts as I've not felt up to the gym and have been consuming vast quantities of Lemsip and strepsils, which are no doubt laden with calories!

miam · 05/01/2005 12:20

I'll be in too - I am feeling very smug because have lost weight!! Have also signed up for Salsa and aerobic classes!!!!!! I had to stop Atkins because I got completely stuck - am now doing a slight variation - food combining. Is anyone else doing this? I am trying to follow the 'You are what you eat' programme. I have lost 3lbs since Saturday which is great. Looking forward to seeing all those success stories in 2005!! xx

michmash · 05/01/2005 12:51

Hi there, I'd love to join the group.

My DS was born end of October and I'm still wearing my maternity jeans . I've joined WW but fell completely off the wagon over Xmas eating anything that wasn't tied down.

I'm going back to the meetings next Monday but would love some extra support.

karenanne · 05/01/2005 14:41

can i join the queue lol.
do you have to goto a slimming club?
ive recently lost about a stone but need to lose another and want to exercise more.would help me knowing theres others here in the same boat.
im just eating more healthy and exercising more.

miam · 05/01/2005 14:49

Karenanne - only if you feel it will help you. I personally have just been doing my own thing - have lost 31lbs to date just with the help of Mumsnet Mamas (thanks everyone). Oh and welcome to all the new soon-to-be slim MNers!

Demented · 06/01/2005 16:40

BTW I saw MIAM last week and she is looking very slim! Stop hiding under big coats though MIAM, show off your new figure!

miam · 06/01/2005 17:24

Well, it was minus 100 degrees demented! Would love to show off my new figure but don't want frostbite either!!! And thanks by the way. You are still looking fab - I aspire to be just like you. Have lost 4lb since Saturday so am on my way. Can't believe it!!

Demented · 06/01/2005 20:36

LOL! You'll just need to toughen up!!!

4lbs since Saturday!!! That's amazing!!! Have you given up eating altogether?

If you want to be like me I can tell you how, open a big box of chocs, a couple-ish bottles of red wine, family packs of crisps, keep complaining it's cold and eat until you have put on half a stone!!!

miam · 07/01/2005 18:22

Heh heh. And exactly how much is a 'couple-ish bottles'??? Am going to big-sis tonight so no doubt she will have wine a-flowing. Am going to resist though - my will-power is iron clad at the moment (pride comes before a fall....). Yes, I am eating - like a horse to be honest. But loads of good stuff - masses of veggies and fruit, and a little rice, chicken or nuts. Am doing food-combining (quite like Atkins really but much easier) and it seems to be working really well. Was dreading getting on the scales this morning incase I had put it all back on again, but have not! And I know I shouldn't weigh myself every day before I get my wrists slapped - but it works for me so I shall carry on being rebellious, Miss. Are you just cutting down or what?
