How can I lose weight

So recently I've had no motivation to go gym. I work nights. 4/5 shifts a week and I'm utterly exhausted when I finish . 12.5 hour shifts. So when I get home I just want to crawl into bed and sleep. I used to go gym for an hour after I'd finished bit I've lost all motivation and I'm gaining weight. I feel gross. I'm currently trying 5ft 2 and 10st 5lb. My goal is 9st 2lb. Trying to eat healthily and working nights is really hard. Any advice on how I can get my motivation back and eat healthier while working the graveyard shift? I want to lose some weight by the end of summer. Ideally a stone.

You can lose weight without going to the gym. It’s a question of eating less. Are you feeling gross because of the type of food you are eating? That can be self-perpetuating.

Maybe you need to get organised with eg nuts and seeds instead of fast 2am snacks. Make low- calorie meals in advance that you will look forward to. Basically, diet by planning!

Good luck. I don’t underestimate how hard that would be. But you can do it! (lots of water too)

I tend to take pitta breads with salad and chicken in but there comes a point where I get fed up and start eating the rubbish I'm the canteen. I do feel gross because all the effort I made when I lost 10lbs had all been undone . I enjoy the gym and I want to get back into it but working at the hospital I'm on my feet all night on a busy assessment ward I just feel knackered . I'm just not sure what to pack . I was aldi drinking 2 litres a day and somehow over the last 2 weeks I've undone it all. I've ordered a new water bottle so hopefully that comes quick and encourages me it's just what healthy meals to take with me.

I'm the same height as you! I've gone from 10stone 5 to 9stone 13 just by not eating rice, pasta, potatoes, wraps or bread Monday - Friday.

I eat what I want on Saturdays and Sundays.

I will be happier at 9stone 5 but I think my goal of 9stone 7 is more realistic. And if I get there then I'll have a new goal of 9stone 3. 😊

My size 8s are beginning to feel more comfortable already!! X

Oh and Green Tea seems to help me lose weight. Just one cup a day seems to help me lose a bit extra.

If I skip a few days my weight loss slows down (that may be just personal to me though!!)
