I have tried to lose weight SO many times over the last few years, but now my health is really starting to suffer. But I really like eating! It's my favourite activity! Anyone else in the same boat? Perhaps we can support one another.

Do slimming World, you can still eat loads and nut be hungry. I've lost 3 stone and have never been hungry.

I've been thinking about that, but is it very expensive? I've found a meeting at a convenient time and place on Saturday morning, but no prices are mentioned.

It's a fiver per week ,I do it on line and when I signed up again once 3 months had passed it dropped to £3.50 iirc as I signed up for 6 months.

Thank you for that. It sounds reasonable. I just don't do it alone, I talk myself out it! Thanks for the information @MrsPelligrinoPetrichor Flowers

There's always an excuse not to start so just had to get on with it 🤣

Totally agree with SW. When done right, following the spirit of the plan, its just basic healthy eating.

Just be on guard for then to try selling you their synthetic cereal bars (although I quite like one or two of ther ready meals). Also, if you find yourself rolling a wholemeal roll in sweetener and calling it a donut, you've gone too far and need deprogramming.

But seriously, it's a gentle, effective diet and keeps me feeling nicely full.

Yeah, that might be a bit of a problem. I really can't stand any artificial sweeteners or Stevia. But I must admit I'm getting bored already with counting calories!
