How to get rid of the 'pregnant' tummy look!

I know I am about 1.5 stone overweight right now and I am taking steps to rectify this now, with diet and a gym programme however, it doesn't seem to matter what weight I am, I always look pregnant. I've been at my ideal weight/low BMI and let I still look 5 months pregnant, right now I think I could pass for 6/7 months!

When I put weight on it does go everywhere - thighs get bigger, face chubbier, arms get a bit flabbier, boobs get bigger but the tummy area is next level. I literally look like Mr Greedy.

I could deal with being plumpish all over but this is so depressing. I see people who are clearly a good few sizes larger than me but don't have this problem? They can wear fitted tops and dresses for instance because their weight seems to be more evenly distributed.

Anyone know what the secret is to keep this area under control? Is there anything that causes fat to accumulate here? I am 44 so it could be peri, but it could also be that I enjoy wine and pizza 🙄

It's a wine belly. Mine's the same. Damn sugar!

Look into diastasis recti - some simple exercises can help...

Right, so you think if I stop drinking wine, I should see a difference?

I did obviously reduce wine intake when I lost weight before as couldn't fit the calories into my daily allowance anyhow but still had the belly, but then I was still drinking some wine.

Cut it out completely?

Is it far or bloat? How is your tummy in the morning?

@CornishGem1975 ahh I have no idea to be honest but I know my stomach is definitely flatter when I cut wine out.
