Hi all. So after baby number 3 I put on some much weight. I've researched and started IF. I started at 16h, than 18h and went up to 20-24. I do a few extended fast here and there. My max is 5 day's. I've lost 40lbs so far but have about 20lbs still to loose. Gonna switch for a few days and so slim fast, that worked for me before the kids.
How do others find IF and what is your normally eating window. I'm blogging my weight lost journey, free feel to watch and kindly subscribe as I will shortly upload my longest fast yet. 😊

amazing achievement 👏 Just started IF, had a good week then gave up as I had a very hungry hormonal day but starting back tomorrow. Trying to do it midweek for 16 hours, can't see myself doing more. I have tried so many diets but I can't seem to do little and often as I keep eating once I start so am hoping this will be a good one for me.

Well done! I often feel better when I do intermittent fasting

IloveGod2 · 22/05/2023 06:20

@justsaxy @LaMaG well done ladies. Yea same, I've tried all diets and didn't work or not sustainable. It's hard at first that's why it's good to start with a few hours for your none eating/fasting and defo build up from there. I'm gonna do slim fast for a week but restarting IF next week if anyone wants to buddy up x

Can I ask what your strategy was for the longer stretches? I'm finding it tricky to work out the timing. I am home with kids all afternoon and am constantly making meals or snacks for other people and I don't think I could handle that, or eating my own dinner early then preparing every one else's. So I don't start til 7pm. I'm OK in the morning but then I work only 3 hours - but it's quite intense in a pre school room and seems silly to be fasting at the time I need energy the most then moping around the house snacking all afternoon 🤔ill just have to figure something out....

A five day fast?! Get in the bin with that.

IloveGod2 · 22/05/2023 08:25

@LaMaG yea take each day as it comes. Check out my YT I give guides etc. It's hard cos I also have kids, work etc but I got a routine where my last meal would be around 5/6pm and than I would eat around 11am. Tbh because I work in London and I'm active in the morning I don't normally eat breakfast so that helped. With time I started adding an extra hour until I was able to go days without eating. Also eat healthy fats like avocado and eggs and nuts as they will give you full for longer. Hope this helps. I also read Jason fung alot

I’ve been watching a lot of the dr who wrote fast like a girl.
she recommends 17th to triggers atrography and then 36hrs to get rid of belly fat.
im currently doing 12-15hours so going to increase it soon but can’t imagine doing a 36 hour fast let alone 5 days
