Ozempic - just administered my first dose

I took my first dose at 16:30 today. I feel a bit sick and the injection site stings a bit but I live in my head a bit so that could be me looking for symptoms.

Has anyone else started very recently?

Although I am a woman of heft (15st5lbs) I am quite active, I cycle and row a fair amount and I do three weight sessions a week. I’m worried that I won’t have the energy to do all of that while taking Ozempic but fingers crossed it will be ok.

I've just taken my 4th dose. Have lost 17 pounds to date and have been able to exercise fine (2 x weight sessions, daily walk, and occasional swim or extra gym session).

I've been counting calories (1600 per day) and found that whilst I still get hungry I get full quicker.

I think you'd only have issues with exercise if you drop your calories too low. So perhaps keep an eye on overall calories as well as protein (helps with feeling full at well as maintaining muscle).

I have just started today too. I took mine about half an hour before you.

I too am looking for symptoms Grin but nothing so far. Where did you get yours from? I went through Juniper.

Mine has just arrived and I haven’t taken it yet. Where did you inject? I have seen different suggestions re stomach/ thigh.

Can I ask, did you just order it from an online pharmacy?

I've been injecting in my stomach (moved round my belly button in a circle so each week is a different spot).

I picked stomach over thigh as it was easier with the clothes I wore for the first injection.

I've seen some people say that they get side effects with one injection spot over another but personally I think that's just conincidence. Just pick whichever spot you find easiest.

I use MyJuniper which is an online pharmacy. It wasn't the cheapest but I liked the ease of the subscription and access to health coaches. With the recent price hike and move to 10-day cycle instead of 7-days I don't think it's probably the best choice for someone starting now. That said, most online pharmacies seem to be struggling with stock.

I've seen recommended to pay for private endocrinologist consultation and then private prescription can be filled at ordinary pharmacy but I havent had a chance to look into options local to me yet.

I did in my stomach too. To the right of my belly button. Again easier with my clothes i was wearing.

That's interesting that they are changing the dosage instructions, looks like I snuck in on time as I was able to use a discount code too.

I just got mine delivered today. I got mine from My BMI, is juniper in stock? I had trouble finding it

I am feeling nervous about starting it! I have so much ‘food noise’ I really hope this helps give me a break from obsessive food thinking. I have a call booked with a well-being service about weight loss I wonder what they will think of ozempic
