Ozempic as a binge eater

So I have been reading a bit about Ozempic and wondered if it helps with binge eating. I am self diagnosed ADHD and think that a lot of the binge eating is a dopamine search.

So I just wondered if there was anyone in a similar situation.

I've overcome a binge eating disorder and to be honest the fear of it starting up again is one of the many reasons I'm still reluctant to try Ozempic, even though I can see it is pretty miraculous stuff. I've just been reading about Remi Bader, a TikToker who came off it and regained double the weight and found it really triggered her bingeing. It's sobering reading.

The main way Ozempic works is by helping your body regulate blood sugar, however there's a largish and growing body of evidence that points to it having an effect on reward pathways in the brain. It's been reported to help with everything from alcohol consumption, through binge eating to compulsive shopping and lots of other things from minor to more serious. Obviously the effectiveness depends on the "compulsive" behaviour's origen. www.frontiersin.org/articles/10.3389/fnbeh.2020.614884/full

@Inkpotlover how have you managed this please?

It's helped me a lot. I used to binge on crisps and carbs. I don't do it now. I've lost 4 stone and I'm still taking Ozempic to maintain but I've broken the binge habit.
