just wondering really. for me it is river island. i go in there with a skinny friend and could spend a fortune on their casual range. the going outy clothes are too much for me, but the casual stuff is really gorgous (sp)!

french connection, they say they do a 16 but the cut isn't usually right for my Tumbling Tummy.

i like river island and now i can shop there.. i managed to get from a size 18/20 to 10/12

i can't believe how much fun it is now shopping for clothes and they are so cheap i go in new look too

sorry that is not answering your question but when i was bigger i was almost verging on the phobic of going out and certainly didn't go out and buy clothes

Primark, i get very jealous of all these skinny minnies who tell me of their bargainous £3 coats and 50p jeans

zippibabes, wow that is amazing. i am currently 20, but just started weight watchers. i have got down to a size 14 before but always put the weight back on again.
but i have got to get in a pair of overalls by march so decided to do something about it.
i have bought a pair of size 18 river isalnd combats off a mumsnetter, and they do fit, but not comfortably and are a bit low cut for my liking, but they will be someting i can judge their clothes by ifswim.

how did you loose the weight?

i ate nothing that wasn't good for me, i did loads of exercise up to 5 hours a day at one point when i was walking 6 miles every day last year and going to the gym and swimming a mile

it took me a year to lose about four and a half stone...it was very hard work

so i am ten stone now

and i am very fit too i think

i am learning to climb with the guy i am seeing who is very fit indeed

sadly my dp left me two thirds of the way through the programme but i was determined to keep going and all the exercise helped

spaghettiarms · 16/02/2008 18:22

Zippi that is inspirational.. I would love to be 10 stone.. just need to shake myself into action!

lizandlulu · 16/02/2008 18:51

i have joined the gym at the same time as weight watchers and have lost half a stone in 2 weeks. i do feel loads better for it and have a programme at the gym, rather than just going and spending half an hour on the treadmill i actually do things that my body needs to do to tone up.

do you still do all the excercise?
and has your body retrained itself as to what foods you like?

and it always helps to have a fit bloke spurr you on

i don't do as much as i did.. i am at colege full time and quite busy

but i am trying to do the ohe hour in the gym plus the mile swim i do staright after three times a week and when the days get longer and warmer i shall start the 6 mile evening walk again

i am quite good aty the eating that is the easy part

and yes seeing someone and having to be seen at length with no clothes on is rather a spur

especailly at my age and he is young
