Can't bare my body!

I'm so fed up, I'm not over weight at all but I have a mummy tummy which has got considerably worse since hitting 40. I literally can not look at myself naked. I work 4 jobs so I'm always on the go and I don't always eat the best. I don't have lots of time to prep dinner and my dds are all teens and aren't home every evening so I tend to just cook some pasta or sometimes like tonight just have toast. I don't eat an awful lot but what I do eat isn't great. I rarely drink alcohol and have massively cut out tea and coffee recently. My question is with diet alone can I get rid of my tummy or do I need to be hitting the gym etc? (Which I don't have time for!) I walk every day with the dogs and also horse ride when I have time, maybe twice a week. I have a wknd away coming up which I'm dreading as all my clothes are tight and I'm too tight to buy new clothes!! I know I need to make a change I just need help!

You can do it by diet alone. I found I had to eat a lot less and get towards the bottom of my BMI weight before my tummy went. Cutting out sugar, simple carbs (pasta & bread) & alcohol helped a lot.

Yes you can do it with calorie counting

Use an app like my fitness pal to input your current and goal weight and stick to the calories suggested

I know your busy- but with calorie counting the secret is be ready. Meal prep have healthy snacks ready to go.

Good luck!

Eat more protein. Some of the calories from protein are burned through just digesting it (TEF) and it fills you up more so you crave less. Exercise helps but not necessary to achieve a calorie deficit. I wouldn’t advise cutting things out as if you’re not prepared to do it forever don’t bother doing it as you’ll fall off the wagon and feel guilty all the time.
