Running

Is running the best way to lose weight?

I lost 4 stone over the 2 years since dd2 was born, had a breast reduction at xmas and have put on a stone since then, I am gutted.

I have never run before but thought I would like to try, 5k in June and 10k in Sep, what do you think?

I have been inactive for 2 months now but was very fit before then, will it come back quickly? I really like spinning classes but think I would probably struggle at the moment.

I really struggle to control what I eat when I am not doing any excercise. I stuck to 1500 calories a day plus lots of exercise before. I really like going to the gym and would prefer that to outdoor running at the moment.

Anyway please help me get some motivation.

Love running. I lost nearly 4st with Slimming World and took up running last year. Now do 5K 1-2 times per week. Entered 3 races this year, first on on 2nd March. Did the Race for Life last June and loved it.

Running is brilliant for toning and increasing your fitness. I also love spinning too. First couple of classes were really tough but it's so much easier now. Go on - give it a go and you'll soon be hooked again!

Thank you, I am very tired and thought I was being a bit thick.
