Hi folks,
Hoping you can help us. We're at the stage where both of us need to lose 4 stone (him 6ft 2 and almost 20st, me 5ft 7 and 14 st 12) and we've been buying supermarket or Primark clothes because 'we're not going to be this weight for very long.'
But then life took over and we've moved 4 times in 2 years with another one on the cards and it is completely, all consuming.
Trouble is, it's making me deeply miserable. The clothes quality is awful and stuff looks dreadful after a wash or two, there's never anything nice or particularly stylish, I just feel so downtrodden and grubby all the time.
Realistically neither of us can start dieting for 6-12 months because of our home life situation (not an excuse, we need a lot less stress and better cooking facilities).
SO, where can we go for the following clothes please. There's very little nearby as we're deep countryside.
- Half decent quality plain white t-shirts for a 3XL man that won't be horrible to iron and look bad quality. I've chucked out every supermarket or Primark one we bought because they were dreadful, very quickly.
- Half decent casual shirts he can use for his work (think more lumberjack type than formal office shirt - we got a bunch of Amazon ones before but they've started washing badly and look scruffy)
- Jeans for him. Denim coloured.
- Stuff for me: not dreadful quality leggings, some hoodies/jumpers that won't bobble after a few washes, and, god forbid, some underwear that won't make me lose the will to live (I'm a 20/22 and I've basically given up with bras because none ever fit, and I've never found any nice bra tops that don't go awful after a few washes - I have a REALLY wide back). Also some summer stuff: casual t-shirts that aren't horrifically unflattering (standard t-shirt sleeves look terrible on me), cropped trousers suitable for summer heat/gardening etc.
Thanks for your help!
