Breakfast

Any recommendations for breakfasts that will keep me full up until lunchtime that don't involve eggs? I love them but need a bit of variety!

Until recently I was having porridge for breakfast, with soya milk (high protein one) and flaxseed. 17g of protein but two hours later I just felt hollow and was desperate for lunch at 11am.

This week I've been having omelette with feta - same amount of protein - but the difference has been remarkable. I've been so full up I've just been having a bowl of soup for lunch and only start to feel peckish at 5 when I have my dinner.

What's that all about? Must be to do with the carbs?

I've recently quit being vegan after three years and it's been a bit of a game changer for me. But that's another thread 😂

I’m not really having breakfast at the moment &if I do it’s boiled egg. Today I had homemade soup at 11 am

but baked beans mushrooms and bacon medallion is nice if you have time and it’s really filling

Ooh good call @Slimjimtobe. The bacon could be done in the air fryer to speed things up on a school morning.

I add protein powder to porridge - adds about 20g of protein and the bonus of having different flavoured porridge !

greek yoghurt + fruit + (usually a bit of dark choc and soya crispies)

Wholemeal tortilla wrap (not the huge ones!), slice of cheese, black beans or similar, and I puree a jar of drained, roasted peppers with some jalapeno's and use a spoonful of that.

Thanks, good idea as it is something you can prep ahead of time too

I just bought two massive tubs of Greek yogurt so may try tomorrow with some fruit and seeds!

Good idea - I do like porridge for the fibre content so this could make it doable!

Why not eggs every day? I have eggs most days as they beat everything else in terms of keeping me going. Occasionally (if travelling) will have overnight oats with fruit and Greek yogurt.
