A house full of chocolate and cream

My DP is on chemo, losing weight daily, I’m cooking full fats, double cream, gold top milk, there’s chocolate, nibbles of all sorts, for every pound he’s losing I’m putting it on. I’m so blooming hungry but he’s just had his nutrition drink and now doesn’t want his evening meal until 7pm. I’m staring at the biscuit tin on the coffee table that’s there to remind him to snack! Yep, I’ve had three already! He want us to eat together, that’s 65 minutes away.

I’m mentally exhausted and don’t have the physical energy to cook two meals. I tried for a week doing batch cooking for us both but it’s too much. WTAF can I do? I am soo fed up and today I can’t get the button on my jeans done up.

That sounds hard for all of you @Sohungrynow with the cream, oils, full fat stuff could you go low carb? I'm not talking about full-in Keto but maybe lower your carbs to 80-150, that leaves room to use full fat to get some of your calories. It will also tamp down your appetite so it'll be easier to eat meals with your husband when he wants.
I don't have a massive sweet tooth but live with a husband who is perrenially slim and 16cm taller than me. So any snacks I buy are stuff that I don't really like - digestive biscuits jammie dodgers, Jaffa cakes 🤢, stuff with dried fruit in, a jar of raisens, dried apricots, those honey and nut cereal bars etc. Just adjust for stuff you don't like. The lower carb will mean you don't want sweet stuff so much anyway.
