I’m going round in circles in my head.

i need to lose weight, and have successfully been low carb for years before having a family. Now, with less time, less money, 3 other people to cook for 3 times a day 🙄 I cannot make it work.

how do you do it? do you all eat the same? do you eat the same but modify e.g. extra salad and no potatoes on your own plate? Or do you cook and eat separately?

not low carb but when losing weight I would do A mixture tbh. e.g Instead of pasta with spag bol I would have it on a sweet potato as a jacket potato topping, and wouldn’t have the garlic bread.
Roast dinner I would have a couple of v small roast potatoes (VV little oil) and loads more veg.
Occasionally I will cook separately, if I’m doing something veggie I would batch cook so I have portions to freeze, so the next time I wanted something meat free I could just defrost and heat, but cook something for other family members who want either meat or fish for dinner.

Why are you cooking 3 x a day though?

Same as photo... I make a main dish that fits all dietary requirements and preferences (I'm also low carb) and then serve different sides to go with it. So e.g. bolognaise or moussaka as a main, with the bolognaise served over veg for me and over pasta for the rest of the family, and moussaka served with vegetables and garlic bread for family and extra veg for me. It helps that actually I rarely make an extra side for myself as it's usually vegetable based. I just have more of that and don't eat the carbs I cook for everyone else!

It is so much harder when you are responsible for others!

I lost so much living alone and eating what/when/how I liked. Now I have a husband and two children and they don't need to eat like I did when I lost weight.

What I do is things like this:
1 slice bread with eggs etc instead of 2
omelette and veg, but my husband gets a slice of toast too
lots of broccoli with lentil bolognaise/cheese, they all have pasta+some broccoli
more veg, no noodles/rice while they get it.
I make mashed potato that's half cauliflower, so far lighter and we all love it!
