Struggling to accept my body

I've recently lost about 5st, still another 5 to go (at least) but I've made a start! I've also started exercising a lot more.

I'm really struggling with accepting or believing the comments that I'm getting about how good I look. I think because I've spent my whole life being morbidly obese, and because I've still got at least 5st more to lose I'm really struggling with accepting or appreciating my body and I find myself being even more critical and self-deprecating than ever before.

Any advice on how to just like myself?!

I think stop worrying about how it looks and start enjoying how it feels. You will probably feel stronger and fitter, are the aches and pains going away. Do you find it easier to get up a flight of stairs or pick up something heavy? My weight loss is snails pace but exercising has made me feel so much better in myself.

Yes, I'm a lot less puffed out climbing the stairs. I'm enjoying exercise so I think maybe you're right, focusing on what I'm enjoying now rather than the constant worrying still
