Hey loler, can I get the recipe for that cake. Does it taste good?

Ags · 23/04/2008 13:54

Well done Colditz. I know what you mean about the points thing but I just know that if I stop I will fall back into my bad ways. I soooo don't want to do that.

Great you stayed the same Fio! God, though, torture to be so close to 10%! Next week for definate!

Squiffy · 23/04/2008 14:52

I was going to say well done Ags, Colditz etc etc but everyone seems to be doing so well this week...

Mammyjo - I had my gallbladder removed years ago. It is usually removed via keyhole surgery though (through the belly button!) so the tunny tuck might have to wait. Still. am sure the gallbladder + stones weigh a few ounces anyway..... Surgery nothing to be concerned about - I was up and about the next morning.

I went off-diet for a few weeks, then started again and have had a good week. I managed to get a size 14 jacket on today so spent most of the morning wandering round with a huge grin

Squiffy, did you lose 5.5lbs this week?! That is amazing! What are doing to get a loss like that?

Ags · 23/04/2008 19:36

Wow Squiffy. We saw you sidle (although we had to use binoculars cos you are so svelte!). Well done. That is suberb.

VeniVidiVickiQV · 23/04/2008 20:53

LOL at scrotum bellies

My lower stomach is like that, from just above the knicker line downwards.

My boobs have never been particularly pert, plus somewhat pendulous. Since stopping feeding DS about 8 or 9 months ago, they've been slowly shrinking. DH seems to think they've shrunk massively since the diet, but, I dont think so. I think the difference was before - that my stomach was pushing them upwards, kinda like a "Wonder-belly"

I'm not fussed though - even if they are - as long as everything is in proportion - and not too scrotum like

Squiffy · 24/04/2008 09:00

mammyjo - I am on the cambridge diet. Weight loss is fairly impressive on this diet although it is very tough going at times, especially when desperately wanting to eat ice-cream all the way through the 'Apprentice' last night

mammyjo · 24/04/2008 10:24

I don't think I would have the willpower to stick to the Cambridge diet, although the fab weight loss must be a very good incentive! You are doing so well to lose that amount in a week.
You are not alone on no ice cream either. With my new fat free diet I can't eat any! I am just too scared to eat anything with fat in case it triggers another painful attack!

loler · 24/04/2008 17:58

The title of the next thread has to be 'from wonder-bellies to scrotum tummies'. Pmsl

Shortandsweet - Will try making the cake first - will post recipe if it's any good. May be nasty!

moodlumthehoodlum · 24/04/2008 22:10

LOL ladies at the scrotum tummies. If only I had lost that amount of weight. Mine is more like an air balloon tummy, with complimentary stretch marks (I know, I sound geeeorrrrgeous)

Have my weigh in tomorrow, which I am dreading tbh. I have really paid this week for having a non eating week last week, and my willpower metabolism is screwed up. And its dd's 4th birthday party on Sunday and I know I will be very bad nibbling on cake etc.

Ho hum. Well done everyone else. Squiffy - 5.5lb is a crazily good amount to lose. Well done.

mammyjo · 25/04/2008 09:39

Moodlum, mine has stretch marks too thanks in part to 2 children! Partly my own lardiness though unfortunately!!

mammyjo · 25/04/2008 09:41

Meant to say I hope your weigh in goes ok today. Hopefully it won't be as bad as you are expecting. I have started eating properly again, so wouldn't be surprised for a gain next week due to my lack of eating over previous weeks iyswim. Hey ho, we are all doing really well anyway, so long term its good!

moodlumthehoodlum · 25/04/2008 11:07

Well I lost a pound which is better than nothing. I really really don't like the leader though - she is completely demotivating, gets all sourpuss faced when I say I can't stay for the meeting (who honestly would stay for an hour with a 2yo ds in tow?), and there's no encouragement. So not sure why I'm paying £4.50 for the priviledge? Its not even as if I'm following the slimming world rules, I'm just eating a lot less.

Moodlum, my leader changed and the new one was awful, very scolding when I had a small gain which I really didn't need iykwim. The leader I had before does a different class now, but on the same evening, so I have moved there even though it is a bit further to travel. I really feel that the leader can make a huge difference to whether you keep going or not.

mammyjo · 25/04/2008 16:15

Well done on the pound loss too

moodlumthehoodlum · 25/04/2008 17:01

Thanks. Its made my mind up to leave. I do like Friday weigh ins though, it makes things easier for the weekends (which perhaps explains why I haven't lost that much )

Ags · 25/04/2008 17:17

Well done Moodlum. A loss is always especially nice when you don't expect it!

VeniVidiVickiQV · 25/04/2008 22:57

aww moodlum, she sounds horrid. Well done on the loss though

moodlumthehoodlum · 25/04/2008 23:01

Thanks ladies. Your support is great.

Am expecting a challenging weekend food wise, with dd's birthday party on Sunday. I LOVE party food.

Anyway. I think I am going to give that slimming world lady the heave ho and sign up to an online calorie counter thing. BUT I am still going to do a weigh in on a friday morning, and am going to do the WW points each day.

night all. Good luck with weekends.

Only 1lb until I've done my 10% - wonder if I'll do it this week?

Was my ds1 3rd party on Sunday too. Apart from the brie and grape rolls (more for me than the kids) didn't spludge to badly - oh and the chinese as couldn't be bothered to cook last night! The beetroot choc fudge cake was lovely but far too rich to eat very much of. Will post recipe later.

I've lost about 0.8lbs but it doesnt translate well in general terms lol!

So, for the purpose of keeping things simple I'll call it 0.5lbs and round up with the next odd figure.

Well done VVV Yet more fab losses!

Hope the weigh in goes ok today loler Crossing my fingers you get to your 10%. I got mine a couple of weeks ago and it really is a fab achievement. Made me feel very proud of myself!

Not sure what to expect at my weigh in later. I am still eating a virtually fat free diet because of the gallstones, but have eaten a little too well this week I think! My appetite is well and truly back

Ags · 28/04/2008 14:59

Well done VVV and Loler! It is fantastic to be losing STILL! I think we are very committed.

Good luck later Mammyjo. Virtually fat free is a good thing!

My weigh in is tomorrow. Hoping for good things. Had a fundraising disco on Saturday night for the local pre-school. Drank far too much freixenet! But luckily, threw it all up at 6am the next morning!! LOL.
