We go on holiday May 12th and I'm currently an 11st 3lbs, 5ft heffer with a hanging mum tum. I work full time, study and have a baby so I have next to no time.
I tried IF and ended up putting weight on.
I was successful with SW prior to baby but I don't have time to plan/ batch cook meals and attend groups.

Does anyone know of a simple plan I can follow which doesn't require too much time and effort. But does have great weight loss results!? 🙏🏻
I kjownin asking a lot. I just need to shift some of this weight asap

First of all, calling yourself a heifer isn’t helpful. Try and be kind to yourself.
Why did you put on weight doing IF? I can only think you ate more than usual during your eating window? Otherwise it doesn’t make sense.

If you don’t have much time or energy to really focus on things like calorie counting, or trying out new recipes, then I’d say you’re going to have to just reduce portion sizes and stop snacking. 2 months isn’t that long, so it’s just a case of cutting alcohol, fizzy drinks, takeaways or whatever it is that you’re currently eating/drinking that you could cut out. Requires willpower rather than time and effort as such.

However, meal planning will really help. Just sitting for 10 minutes on a Sunday night and writing down the meals for the week, shopping for those ingredients, and not buying crisps, chocolate, cakes etc. Makes it much easier, otherwise you’re more likely to just grab things without really thinking.

@EmbracingTheEyeBags i never lose weight on IF unless I restrict calories too!

I eat between 8.30 and 4.30 so still eat three meals and snack a bit too! I think the idea is that you are supposed to drop a meal but I go crackers without breakfast, I can't concentrate on work as all I can think about is when I can eat!

My lost successful fast diets have been using Weightwatchers online. I stick to it rigidly and usually lose 2lbs a week at least.

Good luck!

Try 3 meals a day only from whole foods.
No snacks, no booze, no processed food, no sugar.
eg Greek yoghurt & fruit for breakfast and fish/meat and masses of vegetables or pulses for lunch dinner.

Hi.
I'm 5 ft as well, so I know how any significant weight gain really shows!
Don't know anything about IF, but ... I lost 2 stone a while back so here goes Absolutely NO snacking, no cake, biscuits, desserts.
No alcohol.
Meals - 'usual' good but portion controlled (reasonably 'healthy' meals not takeaways, processed food etc)
- try and include more veg and less carbs.
No sugar in hot drinks.
If really hungry between meals I had a cup soup or an Options
hot chocolate - not very 'diety', but seemed to help ... or a piece of fruit.
Never calorie counted as such.
Different things 'work' for different people, but essentially the less you actually consume the better!
Good Luck.

Thank you for the helpful comments. I am going to start tomorrow. Will give IF another go but try not to go overboard in my eating window (I think it was this where I went wrong before) I'm going to have to calorie count/eat cleaner. and be very strict with myself for the next 2 months. I need to do it it's going to be our first little family holiday abroad with our baby and I need to look back on those pictures happy and proud. Not embarrassed to show anyone because of how chubby bubby I was! 💪
Here goes !
Thank you for the luck MNers 💕

How's it going OP?

Im sorry to break it to you - but all diets work because you are supposed to be in calorie deficit! If you are intermittent fasting but still eating too many calories per day of course you won't lose weight!

OP - do the tdee calculator to find out roughly how many calories you should be eating per day to lose say 2lb per week - then have 3 small meals within your eating window. If you stick to it you will lose weight. If you don't....well, you won't!

I've lost 4.5lbs actually by just cutting down, I doubt I'll lose that stone but I am trying. I've had a lot of worry on just lately and had covid last week for the second time so that's not helped my motivation unfortunately

@EmbracingTheEyeBags considering the Covid and that’s it’s only been a couple of weeks you are doing really well. Hopefully you will recover quickly and not get too tired and carrying on getting ready for your holiday.
