Anyone tried Keto gummies? Sounds too good to be true

Anything that sounds too good to be true usually is but apparently some of the Dragons Den people invested in these

Hoping for some personal experiences before I decide whether to give them a try. I’m VERY overweight 🙈

It’s a scam. Try finding the episode and instead you’ll find lots of scam warnings. There is no quick fix. Make good food choices, eat balanced meals, cut down on snacks, cut down on alcohol, sugary drinks, takeaways etc. And walk more or do whatever exercise you can. But 80% of it will be down to what you’re eating.

If you want to lose lose weight, you need to be ready to make changes, not find a magic cure.

It's what so many of us are looking for though! If we could make that change into someone with willpower that would help .But it's not as simple as choosing to do so .
@TeapotCollection this is a nice ,spirit raising,thread

@amberedover many people might be looking for it, but it doesn’t mean it exists. If it was as simple as chewing a sweet designed to make you lose weight, the inventor would be a billionaire and the population wouldn’t be getting more and more obese. Op said it sounded too good to be true, and literally a quick Google told me it was a massive scam.

TeapotCollection · 11/03/2023 08:44

I thought as much. Anything at all in life that sounds too good to be true usually is. I hadn’t looked them up, it was an advert that popped up on a game I was playing

Thank you for that link, I’ll have a look

I’ve lost 9 pounds this year just by cutting out all the crap I used to eat. Not loads but it’s a start

i realise all that @SingaporeSlinky .And I expect the OP does .

I posted because I wanted to encourage the OP ,I wanted her to know it's not just her who would welcome an easy solution to loosing weight ,even though we know there isn't one . Eating too much ,eating fattening foods is often a comfort thing .We know what we should do ,we try and fail ,feel bad about ourselves and then eat more .
I've found the thread I linked to very supportive and non judgemental so I passed it on .

You said yourself, sounds to good to be true. Of course it is.

Weight loss is not easy. You have to work to change habits for life and there isn't a magic wand we can wave. Build one new habit at a time.

Beeinalily · 27/06/2023 17:07

I was looking for Keto gummies in the search thingummy - I won't bother! Just wanted to say to @TeapotCollection , I don't know if you've lost any more weight, but if you don't think 9lbs is much, put 9lbs worth of tins or books into a carrier bag and try toting it about for a while - it's a fair bit! You've done really well! 👏 👏 👏

Deanefan · 27/06/2023 17:12

Too good to be true. I would suggest some reading around the subject of low carb high fat way of eating a more moderate version of Keto. Lots of good information out there trythr “Freshwell”app symbol is a little green leaf. It is run by some GPs with an interest in reducing obesity/diabetes in their patients. Good background information and recipe ideas.

Deanefan · 27/06/2023 17:12

Less carbs mean less cravings that might be “willpower” in other words

Beeinalily · 27/06/2023 17:18

I guess we're all looking for a quick fix, aren't we? I've downloaded the NHS weight loss app (because it's free and I'm really tight fisted) and I'm doing okay. But easy it's not, and I have the problem of a very sweet tooth but a hatred of sweeteners.

musixa · 27/06/2023 17:21

So called "Dragons Den Investment" = Classic sign of a scam. Do the Dragons bollocks invest in weightloss 'miracle cures'🙄

GatesOfBabylon · 27/06/2023 17:22

I’m sure they are nice to eat but… they will be like all sugar-free sweets they will contain artifical sweeteners that make you fart like a trooper if you have more than one.

There used to be some hilarious reviews on amazon about sugar-free haribo causing massive stomache aches and the accompanying rear-end floodgates

SriRadhaSharon · 06/08/2023 11:55

I responded to the Dragons Den hype and applied for the Keto gummies. I did receive some tablets with Keto written on them but they weren't FDA approved and didn't have the ingredients in as advertised. I also had a £160 taken from my bank! 3 times what I'd expected and although I did eventually get the payments stopped the while thing was a scam I'm sorry to say. The ads were very convincing. When the tablets arrived I started taking them for one week and I did notice a weight loss.
I stopped them once I saw the cost and my weight returned but I'd rather stay safe. There's a huge market to sell us the miracle cure.
I thought I'd write to let others know.

The only slimming product the dragons signed up for is fitsmart which is a tablet I have just started on first course 3 weeks in and I have lost 6lbs
