Since the beginning of January I've been slowly losing weight, Last week I finally got to 14lbs off, but then I made a mistake and bought lots of chocolate on my weekly shop. Since Thursday I have now put back on 2.2lbs, and I feel totally demotivated.
I was14.7 when I started, goal is 11.7 Stone, now I'm 13.9.2 which I know is a good start. But how can I get back to being motivated, I'm just craving all the carbs and crap I've been avoiding and I can't stop feeling really annoyed at myself for binging so much the last 4 days.

Could it be hormonal? I crave chocolate before my period, even when I’ve been really on a roll and losing weight for weeks.
If not, maybe you just felt like you needed it. Just don’t let it derail you completely. Carry on from tomorrow, and don’t buy any more chocolate next time you shop. That’s usually the easiest place to resist, rather than having in the house, trying to convince yourself over and over that you won’t have it.

I’m sure you haven’t put on 2lbs in fat in a few days, might be partly water weight, so stick at it, and hopefully it’ll come off again. Keep going, you’re doing well!

Thank you, it could be as I just started today! I didn't think of that. I've stopped beating myself up now, and getting into the mindset that it doesn't matter I just have to keep going.

If it was the week before your period, most of us, unfortunately bloat up with water weight which will really affect your weight. You probably need to plan to eat a little more in the week before your period (assuming it's predictable anyway)

It can be a bit hit and miss at the moment as I'm peri menopausal, so it could be 26 days or even 60 at the moment. Hopefully I can lose the 2.2lbs I've put back on this week and get back on track.

You might find it drops straight back anyway as you move through your cycle. Weight loss is never totally linear and sadly certainly never always down
