@WhatWhereWhenHowWhy you're not alone!

Jeds55 · 10/03/2023 01:07

@WhatWhereWhenHowWhy and @LancashireSquirrel definitely not alone!
Youngest poorly so barely slept so talked myself into eating quite a few snacky bits (didn't require much talking)
Tomorrow is another day - I know my brain will be telling me to start the diet again on Sunday as can't possibly restart on a Fri but must ignore brain 🙃
Very little sleep again so far tonight

Happy weekend everyone! This morning I was 70.95Kg, so a loss of 2Kg. I’m assuming this week has been water loss though and the real work begins next week!
I’ve stuck to my limit calorie - wise, but it hasn’t been the best diet. Lots of carbs and dairy and almost no veg at all. Also a little chocolate each day. So low in quantity but also low in quality.
I’ve also been doing very little exercise.

So, I think in order to make progress next week I’m going to need to get moving more, and swap some of my starch for greenery (😒)

How’s everyone else getting on?

Joining. My weight has crept up in 2023 too…this is a good goal. My plan is IF 16:8 and honest MFP tracking :) keeping active

CalmConfident · 11/03/2023 13:46

I weigh on no Mondays…hovering just under 75kg, goal 1 get the trend Viking so mid 70s then into the 60s

I managed to 'lose' a pound this week but I'm not convinced. I'm trying really hard to eat as 'clean' as I can rather than reaching for the biscuits and sugary snacks.

Currently sat with a glass of wine Grin

Well I’ve slipped up today ☹️ I’ve eaten three bars of chocolate and no vegetables ☹️ oops.

One week in and I've lost 3lbs (down to 13 stone). I've been sticking very strictly to my diet so far (calorie counting and walking five miles a day), so I'm happy with my progress so far. I'm changing my diet this week, I'm going to make a big meal replacement shake every morning (400 calories), only allow myself that in the morning/early afternoon, then eat over an eight hour period from mid afternoon onwards. I'm also trying to up my exercise this week. I haven't been on my exercise bike for about five years, which is so bad. I'm going to force myself to do just five minutes on it tonight.

Wow well done Tangled Blue! I’m going to use you as my inspiration tomorrow as I haul myself off the sofa and away from the snack cupboard! I am determined that today will just be a blip!

I'm seriously slacking here. A lot of bad choices and feeling a bit grim. I've had a cold and cough for weeks now and been too self-indulgent. Time to shake it off!

No weight lost at all, if anything I've gained half a pound.

Woke up early this morning to do a 20 min Pilates session. Feeling more positive. I need to cut the carbs back , it's becoming an issue! Too many sweeties/sandwiches and chocs and no time for exercise!

How do people fit it in if they work full time, study and have kids?

WhatWhereWhenHowWhy · 15/03/2023 07:06

Thank you @LancashireSquirrel it's so hard but then also in theory so simple - frustrating
