Sleep

Everyone says that getting enough sleep is really important for weight loss. Does it actually do something or is it just that you’re more likely to make bad food choices/less likely to exercise if you’re tired?
I have a 10month old and two early risers(5:30am) so sleep isn't readily available to me. How much will this be impacting my weight loss? Hopefully not too much!

It's the latter - affects behaviour rather than any physical reason if that makes sense!

I think it has a physical effect too, all to do with cortisol and insulin etc.

See I keep reading lots of conflicting info. And it's one thing I really can't control.

So energy balance is scientifically what affects weight loss. If you are tired you are likely to be moving less as well as maybe not making great food choices?
