Fast 800 ??????

Has anyone done the fast 800 and have a success story to tell me?
I've bought the book and it's coming by 10pm tonight on Amazon but from what I have read I can kind of gather the idea of it all. Intermittent fasting and 800 of low carb but high protein diet each day for 12 weeks.
I'm 5ft6 and 11st4lbs and I want to lose 21lbs ideally within 6 weeks. It's a BIG goal but by the sounds of it with this diet it's potentially achievable?
I have my hen holiday abroad with my lovely ladies on april 1st and would love to go to my best weight I've been which is 9stone10-9stone12 by the time I go. My wedding follows 8 weeks later so will be a case of maintaining and potentially toning up in that 8 week space between hen and wedding.

Does anyone have any success stories for me to read to motivate myself as I'm rather nervous at the moment doing this around working most days and a toddler and a 10 year old 🤦🏻‍♀️

Even before and after pics would be MUCH appreciated!!

Thank you I'm advance people 🫶🏼😘

Hello! I am sorry to see you didn’t get any replies. How have you gotten on with the Fast 800? I am in the same position now - got the books and currently in day 2.

My friend and dh had great success with this. I have one of the books because I like the healthy recipe ideas.

I did this for 4.5 weeks and lost a fair bit of flab - I don't weigh myself but I could tell from clothes. I have tried to have one or two v low carb/sugar/TRE days a week since and feel that I have generally kept the weight off (I will never be skinny, I love food, am at that 'age' when the middle won't whittle and I am not from a thin family). I will try and do a week or so every couple of months to keep myself on track.

But If I fall off the wagon, as it were, I would go back to this in a more dedicated way as I know it worked. It just takes planning to get the most flavour and bulk out of you calories.

Good luck. I hope it works for you

I've lost 5 stone doing a slightly stricter version of the 800, with intermittent fasting. Good luck!

I started the three month online programme this time last year and went from 176lb down to 143lb. Goal weight was 126lb.
It was expensive but I liked that it made meal plans for you and generated shopping lists and recipes, to take some of the mental energy out of it.
I did end up putting about half the weight back on because Christmas threw me off balance and I went back to bad habits after that.
I’ve started it again a couple of weeks ago. Hoping to get down to my goal this year and stay there.
I would recommend forking out for the online version if you can afford it. But also to be aware that it won’t magically change your eating habits and you will need to work hard to keep the weight off afterwards.

I lost about 1 3/4 stone for my wedding last year. I'm not sure exactly what I weighted at the start but I got down to 9 stone on the day. It takes a bit of adjusting but it really works and I was super strict (drank wine). I used myfitnesspal to track calories and macros. I haven't found it difficult to keep the weight off, it's sort of reset my appetite. I now weigh 9 stone 2 and I can very much live with that.

Malbecmoron · 29/09/2023 20:29

I should have said I wasn't super strict!

Low fat and Fast 500 got me from 12 stone to 9 stone between January and Easter. Fast 800 isn’t so different. Low fat works better for me than low carbs, I can buy low fat spread (Aldi Nordpak), and cheeses, fat free Greek yogurt, skimmed milk, and still indulge with the odd slice of toast or a couple of rice cakes. Lots of green, red and orange vegetables and fruit, drink water or Pukka herbal teas, two coffees with skimmed milk each morning. And weigh and log absolutely everything on MyFitnessPal. I don’t do gyms but I walk at least 15k steps most days, and dance in the kitchen with a couple of 2kg dumbbells, doing lunges etc.

Sorry just realised it’s an old thread, I hope you’re happy with things OP!

AccidentallyWesAnderson · 29/09/2023 20:42

Old thread or not I'm starting it on Monday! I've had the books for a while but giving it a proper go this time.

Might be outing but this is me in April weighing 12 stone 4. I started Fast 800 that September and this is me in October - 6 weeks later at 10 stone 4 I think. I know the shadow is on the main bit but hopefully you can see the fat I was resting my hands on has gone! I went down loads in inches.
I keep it up until the New Year and it didn’t really come back.

The bit I liked was that he really advocates not eating all the time. The trouble for me with Weight Watchers and Slimming World and even Atkins was the “free food”. I would end up eating loads, not see much difference and give up.
This retrains you to eat small amounts of healthy food and then you have to forget about eating until your next meal. Sounds stupid but I never realised how often the “ stuff something in your mouth “ tape was playing in my head.

Started early this year and 50 pounds down. The weight loss was rapid first 6 months and now I do a version where I'm really strict mid week and very low carb, and relax a bit with treats at weekend. Still losing approx 1 pound a week.
