Using the Switch Ring Fit or equivalent. I need to lose about 7 kg and get fitter. DS has Ring Fit Adventure... kind of tempted to try it out 😳

We have a bike which I try to use a couple of times a week (with video routes) and a suspension trainer (boring, not sure I have the correct posture). Ditto for yoga. Can't get into running, it seems to make my knees and prolapse worse. Plus I worry someone I know may see me...

Doing exercise is always going to be beneficial for your health and fitness, but if you want to lose weight, I’d focus a bit more on eating less. Try logging everything you eat and drink for a week or two and see how many calories you’re consuming. Plenty of online apps, and calculators that will tell you roughly how many calories you should be having based on your height, current weight, age and goal weight.

By the way, I wouldn’t worry about people seeing you run. If you think it’s because people will judge you, I actually think the opposite is true. When I see very overweight people at my gym, or out running, I just think ‘good for them’. And it doesn’t sound like you even have too much to lose. But if you can’t run, even walking fast will be beneficial and getting fresh out and out in nature will help too.
