Ozempic doses in 0.25mg pen

Can anyone clarify for me?

Have the 0.25 ozempic pen. The box says it contains 4 doses, and it comes with 4 needles.

However, it has 1.5ml of liquid in it, and one dose of 0.25 is 0.19ml. By my calculation that means there's actually nearly 8 doses in it?

Or 4 x 0.25mg and almost 2 x 0.5mg?

Is that right? I know it would mean reusing needles or getting some extra, but I don't want to throw it away with nearly half the pen unused if it's still got lots left in. But the box clearly says 4 doses?

Does anyone know if you can keep using the same pen for the first 2 weeks of the 0.5mg dose as well as the first 4 weeks of the 0.25?

Hi, yes you can. The pens have more in than just four doses and it's too expensive to waste. You can buy a box of needles cheaply - don't reuse, that might cause an infection, not a great idea.

Hia, I’m also a bit confused with this, what happens when you are at the 0.5 dose, do you have 2 injections as the pen only goes to 0.25? Thank you 😊

You can take the 0.25mg twice, one immediately after the other

I have just done a fifth 0.25 dose and yet it seems like there is absolutely tons left. Does this look like everyone else’s?

I’ve been thinking exactly the same completed today all 4 doses of 0.25mg but there is still so much more liquid in. I’ve just made an order for some new extra needles for the pen and I’ve been doing some research and it turns of there is 8 doses in total in the pen. Here is the link.

When you use the "extra" in first pen do you just do two injections back to back (in different places) if you want to do a .5 dose? Or do you just keep doing .25 ? Thanks!!
