Diet and fitness ideas post c section/breastfeeding - appreciate thoughts

Hi all

i had a c section six weeks ago and am 1.5 stone over my normal weight. I am breastfeeding.

My normal bmi is 21 so I’m quite small normally.

it took me 3 years after my first child to feel like myself again and get into my pre pregnancy clothes.

this time I am going back to work after 7 months and I really want to feel and look like myself. And I want to be fitter.

I know I can’t do any intensive exercise for a while so wanted to see what other mumsnetters are doing both exercise and food wise that could suit me - any thoughts on the below welcome.

  • mutu system - I’ve heard this is great for post natal strengthening and fitness? Even when I lost Edith last time I still had a large pouch
  • Ec method - Chloe madely’s plan?
  • slimming world
  • Weight watchers
  • huel shakes
  • janes plan

Thanks

Sorry - above should say “even when I lost weight last time” - not “lost Edith”!

I did pilates after c section which definitely helped. Good way to get back into exercise and rebuild. Can't help on the eating side, my figure is never getting back to pre-pregnancy that way!

Kayla Itsines who is the trainer behind the Sweat app has just had a c section and is posting about her journey on her Facebook page so might be worth following and I know that her app has a post pregnancy program
