Hi Ladies - I need to shift 4lbs in the next week to get to a target i had set and as Im going to a spa weekend with friends. Any foolproof ways I can do this? Cutting carbs? exercise? and if so how much!! I have a exercise bike at home but not much time !! Any ideas would be welcome TIA

No carbs after 6pm ( dont know why- but it worked with me)

WALKING EVERYWHERE.

Did you manage a good weightloss doing that ? Walking is difficult as tend to be in car for school runs etc which I cant walk too - I do have a treadmill as well - do you think I need to do it every day?

you see, I dont drive so I have to walk everywhere, which really helps me.

I lost about 19lbs in about 12 weeks, but on my first week ( when I really worked hard at at) I lost 4lbs.

drink lots of water to make you feel full. Eat lots of veg for an evening meal (boring, but makes you feel full)

If you only have a week to do it, I would try and get on the treadmill for half an hour each evening if possible. ( I walk about two miles a day in total and this is the only way that I have kept the weight off)

Agree about cutting carbs (white sugar, flour, pasta, potatoes, rice), and including some protein and fat in meals - egg, chicken, meat, fish, olive oil etc - will help you feel full.

Check processed foods for hidden sugars and it's also worth cutting your salt intake as much as possible as it can make you retain water which will show on the scales as extra pounds!

Exercise and drinking water both help.

Enjoy the spa
