Replacing comfort eating

I've been trying to lose weight (only since new year) but it's been going quite well. I'm having a down day mood wise today. Feeing sad. I'd normally get some chocolate to cheer myself up but I don't want to do that. I'm not sure what I can replace that with to help? Something other than food would probably be good. Any thoughts?

sorry to hear you’re having a bad day, things I like to do to cheer myself up
go for a walk somewhere pretty and take pictures of the scenery
read a good book and/or go to a book shop to browse
embroidery
deep clean a room of the house
watch a childhood favourite film

Have a bath , take a walk, give yourself a mini facial with really nice products. It’s really hard I’m an emotional eater too …. If you feel like you will cave get yourself to bed early

Thanks everyone. I went on a walk which was good, then lit my nice candle. Some good ideas there for next time!
