8 Week Blood Sugar Diet

Morning all, wondering if anyone is doing this diet. I am two weeks in with 2 1/2 stone lose. First week – 8lb loss. Second weigh in today and 0lb loss. To say I’m upset is an understatement as have stuck to it religiously. Only thought is maybe I’m eating too many nuts and period due today when I usually gain 1-2 pounds. Going to be hard to motivate myself to keep going 😩

Lunch: Pepper with Jeweled Feta. Preheat the broiler. Halve the bell pepper and remove the seeds.

Dinner: Eggplant with Lamb and Pomegranate. Preheat the oven to 425°F.

Brunch: Cheesy Baked Beans. Season 2 portobello mushrooms and place under the broiler for 2 minutes.

Don't give up, keep going because it's only week 2. I'm not on the diet but thinking of doing it as I'm perimenopausal and there's diabetes in my family.

Weight loss doesnt work like that. Your first week will have been water stores, next weekk you'll probably lose something like 3 or 4 pounds. Just keep going and ignore what they're telling you at the moment

Thanks for the messages and encouragement. Weirdly the next day I weighed myself again and had lost 2lb! I know the first week will have been mostly water but it was nice all the same! I’m 49 so probably perimenopausal. I’m determined to be in shape by my 50th (Christmas time)!

First week will be a lot of water loss, nuts can be easily over eaten and I try and avoid them or buy one tiny packet a week - switch to seaweed snacks?

love the carrot orange and but butter smoothies for breakfast
really enjoy the mushroom casserole and shakshuka

keep doing what you’re doing and remember if you don’t keep doing it it’ll never work

also a 4ilb loss average is really good

Nuts are the devil's work 🤣. My husband has a box of them and has a small handful as a snack. I walk past the box 20 times a day and have 20 handfuls 😩😩. I moved them up to his office which was great then he brought them down again. They also contain salt which causes fluid retention! So one small measured portion is fine but take care
