3 stone in 6 months - doable?

3st off would take me to the top end of a healthy bmi. I look good and feel happy at that weigh (11st 4 ish), but haven't been there since before DC (oldest is 7). I'm 45, hypothyroid, and bloody fed up with it.

I'm trying to focus more on improved health and fitness, changing habits, and hopefully the weightless will follow. I will be eating healthily, but not to extremes (I usually do some strict diet, weight drops off, but I can't maintain)

Definitely doable (1.5lb a week ish) and what I'm aiming for. I'm a similar starting and goal weight to you. Just want to be in smaller clothes for summer and not have the dreaded chub rub!

@Gobimanchurian what's your plan? I'm focusing on health and fitness. I'm aiming for 13k steps a week. 4x workouts a week. Generally being more active, cutting snacks out, eating healthy meals.

Probably the same, really cutting down on wine is the big thing that makes an impact for me, but otherwise I'm a bit vague which I should probably change. I've done Joe Wicks and Slimming World in the past but haven't got the headspace for meal planning.

I'm generally skipping breakfast but may start calorie logging on MFP,

Gonna start couch to 5k this weekend (at the gym tho as it's slippy outside) and got circuits booked for Saturday morning. 💪

That should say 13k steps a day 🤣 wine is a big issue, not just the wine calories but the food I eat, I snack and drink. The cost is immense too.

I've got a workout planned for today, plus a walk. Good luck!

I need to lose twice as much as you but have managed to lose 40 lbs since October by low carbing. 3 stone in 6 months is definitely possible.

@Skiphopbump wow well done, that's great! I always do better with less carbs. How low carb did you go?

Most of my carbs come from beg so I would say very low carb. I follow the rules set out here
